Account Abstraction (aka EIP-4337)

What are Paymasters?
Paymasters are smart contracts introduced in Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 4337. They allow for flexible gas payment policies, enabling decentralized applications (dApps) to sponsor gas fees for users or accept gas payments in ERC-20 tokens instead of the blockchain's native currency (like ETH). This is particularly useful for onboarding new users who may not have ETH to pay for gas fees.
How Paymasters Work
Sponsoring Transactions: Paymasters can sponsor the gas fees for transactions, making it easier for users to interact with dApps without needing to hold the native cryptocurrency. This can be particularly beneficial for new users or those unfamiliar with managing crypto assets.
